06-23-2017 Positions Available: Swim Coaches: Upper Dublin Aquatic Club (UDAC), a 300+ member age-group competitive swimming and diving program, USA Swimming Silver Medal Club, located in Fort Washington, PA, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated assistant swim coaches.  UDAC competes in regional USA Swimming meets, Middle Atlantic swim meets, as well as in the Suburban Aquatic League (SAL), in Southeastern PA. The club also participates in USA Swimming meets at the National, Junior National, Sectional, Zone and Junior Olympic levels.

The interested applicant should have prior swim coach experience, willingness to coach under the philosophy and culture of UDAC and the UDAC Head Coach, strong motivational and communication skills, and the desire to implement new coaching techniques acquired via coaching education.

The applicant should be willing to work with swimmers of all ages/ranges, but specifically with swimmers ages 5-14, and must be available in the fall/winter and spring between the hours 5:00-8:00 p.m., weeknights.   Weekend availability to coach meets is also required. The applicant must be certified or able to obtain certifications in CPR, First Aid (Safety Training for Swim Coaches), and be a USA Coaching Member (or be willing to attain this status).   Background checks and school district online training are required.

Salary would commensurate with prior coaching experience.

-13-2017 Position Available: Assistant Swim Coach: JOIN OUR TEAM IN OUR NEW HOME!  WCAC will be competing in a new facility at Wissahickon High School for the 2017-2018 swim season-a 10 lane stretch pool!!  The Wissahickon Community Aquatic Club (WCAC), a parent-managed 501 (c)(3) organization located in Ambler, PA is accepting applications for the position of Girls and Boys Assistant Swim Coach. WCAC is a competitive, swim club consisting of 200 SAL swim team members which includes USA registered swimmers, varying from beginning swimmers to swimmers that compete at Junior Olympics.  WCAC will be training in a 10 lane stretch pool in a year long program.
                                                                                                     
Description
The assistant coach will continue to guide and grow the WCAC program to the highest attainable levels of competitive excellence in individual and team performance while fostering a positive environment that fulfills the goals of the Aquatics Director and the WCAC board.  The Assistant Coach will help lead all levels of the SALcompetitive program.
 
Job Responsibilities
Promotes the atmosphere that stresses a unified team concept
Emphasizes the importance of each individuals contribution to the team and the commitment required
Assists the Head Coach with the development and implementation of a program that teaches technical skills while building a swimmer’s confidence, endurance and training ability
Teaches stroke technique, starts, turns and finishes and reinforce throughout the season
Supervises the assistant coaching staff to execute and reinforce stroke technique, starts, turns and finishes
Attends Practices approximately 8-10 hours per week
Attends all SAL dual meets and SAL invitational meets as needed
Communicates effectively with swimmers the goal of the program 
 
Candidate Qualifications
(1) Excellent teaching skills and technical knowledge of competitive swimming
(2) Strong organizational, leadership, communication and computer skills
(3) A passion for the sport and the ability to inspire WCAC swimmers to reach their goals;
Requirements
·        Prior coaching experience
·        Working knowledge of Hy-Tek Team Manager/Meet Manager considered a plus
·        Current USA Swimming Coach Certification considered a plus

5-29-2017 Position Available:  Upper Merion Aquatic Club Head & Assistant Swim Coach Positions Available: We are looking for coaches that are self-motivated and energetic to continue to groom our young athletes into excellent swimmers.  UMAC is a part of the SAL (Suburban Aquatic League) and a member of USA Swimming.  The SAL season runs from September through February with 5 dual meets and 2 championship meets.  Some local travel required for away meets.  SAL meets are Saturday, USA Meets are Saturday and Sunday.

05-16-2017 Position Available: Head Boys Swim Coach – MAC: The Methacton Aquatic Club (MAC), a parent-managed organization located in Worcester, PA is accepting applications for the position of Head Boys Swim Coach.  MAC is a competitive aquatic club consisting of 180 plus swimmers and divers that compete in the Suburban Aquatic League (SAL).  MAC currently trains at Methacton High School in a 6 lane, 25 yard pool from September to May.  Practice times are in the evening typically from 6pm to 9pm.

Requirements:

Competitive Swimming Background; Experience Coaching an Age Group Swim Team, USA Swimming Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:

·         Coaches all squad levels on a weekly basis

·         Assists in designing season training plan for all groups

·         Assists Head Swim coach to determine training level for each swimmer

·         Responsible for Sal Boys Meet Line-ups

·         Attends scheduled meets, including Championship meets and some invitationals; works with Head Overall Coach to ensure all meets have appropriate coaching coverage

·         Provides feedback to swimmers after their races during meets

·         Focuses on improving technical skills of swimmers

·         Fosters environment to promotes good sportsmanship and team spirit

·         Attends all Coaches Meetings

·         Attends all pertinent SAL meetings

·         Maintains team database for times and records

·         Maintains practice records for test sets to monitor improvement

·         Participates in continuing education through ASCA coursework

·         Assists Head Coach in developing and coaching dry land training

05-16-2017 Position Available: Assistant Swim Coach – CBST: Central Bucks Swim Team, a Level 2 USA Swimming program, is looking for part-time coaches. Coaches are needed for the Senior and Age Group programs. Number of hours can be flexible, it could be anywhere from 6 to 16 hours per week of on-deck coaching, and the position could include coaching at meets on selected weekends. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals willing to fit into the CBST system while bringing their own ideas into the program. Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience.
